After graduating from a high school in California, Nadya decided to not go to college. She wanted to fulfill her dreams of having a large and happy family. Nadya didn’t want age to be the reason she couldn’t fulfill her dreams. So, she decided to start her journey to motherhood early. Life seemed to agree with Nadya at this point because it brought Marcos Gutierrez her way.
The man of her dreams
Nadya Suleman met Marcos Gutierrez just before she turned 21. Marcos was a production manager and a charming young man. It wasn’t long before he charmed his way into her heart. The two soon became inseparable and decided to get married in 1966, the same year that Nadya earned her psychiatric technician license. She resumed work at Metropolitan State Hospital, a psychiatric hospital in Norwalk, California. Nadya loved her job and wanted a strong professional career.
